Junior Consultant - Delivery Support

AMIDEAST/Lebanon is looking for a short-term Technical Assistance Consultant (6 months, continuation pending quarterly reviews) to work on an education-related project.The consultancy role will support work specifically on:

-Output 1:Improved planning, management and delivery capacity

-Output 2: Improved processes and data management

The main short-term tasks that consultant will handle include:

-Support with the delivery aspects of Output 1, ensuring that delivery focuses are achieved on time, within budget and to the appropriate level of quality.

-Assist the Capacity development and delivery expert with design, materials development and facilitation of small group training.

-Support with development and facilitation of directorate level capacity development programmes.

-Assist with management and delivery support to stakeholders, including reviewing the sources of support for professional development, compiling evaluative/qualitative data in counsellor reports, and compile administrative data.

-Support with the creation of a dynamic procurement template with dashboard.

-Assist with management and delivery support to examinations, including support to proposal for more accurate marking.

 

Required Qualifications

 

-Degree in business administration, economics, social sciences, project management or other relevant field required including an excellent academic record throughout his/her education

-Experience working with the Government of Lebanon to deliver key public services in education or related sector

-Demonstrable practical knowledge of the Lebanese education system, with experience working with or within MEHE highly preferable

-3+ years’ work experience required in the Lebanese education sector or other relevant field (or fewer years’ experience but more advanced qualifications).

-Experience in developing and delivering capacity development or service delivery-related training.

-Strong communication skills and ability to deal with various levels of stakeholders

-Demonstrated analytical and assessment skills of quantitative and qualitative data.

-Strong personal organization, integrity and work ethic

-Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, English and French (or at least two of those three languages).

-Ability to translate written documents/in meetings between Arabic and English/French, where necessary
