AMURT Lebanon seeks an experienced person as a 75% time Finance Manager who will work with the NGO on day-to-day financial and budgetary matters and supervise other finance staff.

AMURT Lebanon registered in 2012 as an independent charitable organization and is affiliated with the AMURT Global Network, headquartered in Washington, USA.
Since 2012, AMURT has been addressing the Syrian crisis and its effects, as well as hardships the Lebanese community is experiencing. Its programs have ranged from disaster relief and emergency response, to psychosocial support, diverse education programs, child protection, social stability, and is currently focusing on the livelihoods sector.
Vocational Opportunities for Youths in Chouf and Aley:
Under this current project, funded by BMZ and KNH Germany, 500 youths between 15 and 25 years old are offered vocational qualification courses in addition to internships, psychosocial support and other activities. The aim is to offer youth the space to grow, work on their self-development, and train not only in theoretical but also practical skills that are relevant for their future occupations and, most importantly, are oriented towards the actual needs of the Lebanese market.
Job Purpose:
Implements day-to-day financial policies and budgetary policies as defined by the AMURT Board and assists the Board Treasurer in implementing financial procedures and monitoring and supervising other staff in this regard.
Coordinates with Project Coordinator(s) at all times for programmatic updates, activities taking place, budgetary issues, etc.
Represents the Finance Department, liaising with other departments of the organization to achieve overall organizational goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The main tasks & Responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Issues receipts for income received.
- Authorizes daily payment requests or recommends significant payment requests to the relevant authority.
- Communicates all banking needs to the Board.
- Processes authorized payments via cash, cheque or bank order.
- Controls cash accounts.
- Prepares monthly reconciliation and project financial reports as requested.
- Ensures the AMURT procurement policy is followed and adequate documentation for all transactions is obtained and filed.
- Maintains separate financial records for each project and budgetary tracking of all projects.
- Reports to Treasurer on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
- Create additional analyses and reports as necessary
- Creates reports for and advises the supervisors on project budgeting.
- Tracks AMURT's assets.
- Ensures all necessary payments and reports to maintain government compliance for AMURT.
- Ensure AMURT remains audit-ready at all times.
- Others, as assigned by the treasurer.

- Oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic languages
- Excellent accounting software and MS Excel skills
- Prior experience with Lebanese regulations governing NGOs.
- Prior experience with Lebanese regulations concerning Tax and NSSF.
