Protection Coordinator

Job purpose: The Protection Coordinator will lead the Protection Projects and support overall program management and coordination of Protection programming portfolio for conflict-affected Syrians. This includes Protection, Psychosocial Support (PSS) programs, as well as other Protection activities. Program Management -          Lead development and implementation of Protection programs, including for CFS, BTS, NFE and Protection overall. -          Conduct and support ongoing monitoring of Protection activities, through frequent visits to office and field sites, to ensure minimum standards for Protection and progress toward targets. -          Periodically review the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems for Protection programming, in collaboration with M&E team, including the development of M&E tools and methodology, management of reporting mechanisms and information flow, and analysis of program data and impact. -          Identify program gaps, areas of growth, and strategies and support in adapting program design to effectively meet beneficiary needs. -          Manage development of program spending plans, workplans, and procurement and staffing plans to ensure progress against targets and spending by budget. -          Lead preparation and compilation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for Protection programs, in collaboration with Reporting team -          To produce narrative and statistical reports to the Program Coordinator on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis. Partnership management -          Maintain working partnerships and good communication with representatives of other NGOs and the Ministry of Social Affairs -          Build and maintain partnership with local governance structures (including municipalities) to work on the child protection in emergencies programmes -          To attend monthly UN working group meetings for Protection. Human Resources and Capacity Building -          In collaboration with the Administrative Coordinator, identify staffing needs and ensure that appropriate Protection & PSS Staff are recruited -          Supervise and coach all direct reports & develop personal monitoring plans for each report -          Support supervision, coaching and performance management of all Protection & PSS staff -          Conduct trainings for relevant AMURT Staff, local NGOs and local authorities on child protection and child rights -          Ensure that all Protection & PSS staff are complying with the code of conduct and all others policy   Others as required
