Ana Aqra Association is seeking to recruit Education Field Officers to support the follow-up and implementation of education interventions delivered in-person, remotely, or through blended modalities in assigned schools and shelters in Mount Lebanon.
The Field Officer will be responsible for following up on activities in up to 2–3 shelters or schools/shelters within a close geographic area, ensuring regular field presence, coordination with relevant stakeholders, proper documentation, and support to material distributions and other shelter-level project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up on the implementation of education activities delivered in-person, remotely, or through blended modalities.
- Ensure regular presence in assigned shelters/schools and coordinate with teachers, facilitators, school administrations, shelter focal points, caregivers, and local stakeholders.
- Track learner attendance, participation, engagement, and dropout risks using approved tools.
- Support remote learning follow-up with caregivers, learners, teachers, and facilitators when needed.
- Monitor the learning environment, learner engagement, and quality of implementation.
- Support the distribution and documentation of educational materials, learner kits, recreational/PSS materials, and other project assistance.
- Collect, verify, and submit attendance sheets, activity reports, distribution records, and field updates.
- Identify and report field challenges, barriers to participation, operational constraints, emerging needs, and safeguarding concerns.
- Support caregiver engagement, feedback collection, and communication with beneficiaries.
- Attend required trainings, meetings, and field coordination sessions.
- Perform other field-level duties as requested by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant field experience, preferably in education, emergency response, child-focused programming, or NGO work.
- Experience in schools, shelters, community-based learning spaces, or with displaced/vulnerable communities is an asset.
- Experience in monitoring education activities, documentation, distributions, and remote/blended learning follow-up is an asset.
- Strong coordination, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of Arabic is required; English is an asset.
- Good computer skills, especially Excel, Word, and data entry tools.
- Knowledge of the assigned geographic area is an asset.
- Having a car and ability to travel between assigned sites is preferred.
