Monitoring & Evaluation (M&e) Officer

Ana Aqra Association has a vacancy for an Early Grade Reading (EGR) Intervention Team Member for the USAID-funded “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement - (QITABI)” in Lebanon. This position is for a Lebanese national.
Job Purpose
The M&E Officer will support the Project Coordinator in all data collection, analysis, and learning activities to help ensure accountability and efficiency from start to finish for all activities implemented for Qitabi project. S/he will provide technical field support to the Project Coordinator. The M&E Officer will collaborate with the project coordinator in reviewing and preparing monthly, quarterly and final narrative reports. Additionally, s/he will replace or work with other members of the team, depending on the needs of the project.
Main Duties & Responsibilities

Support all M&E initiatives for Qitabi project including monitoring data quality and tracking the progress of activities;
Support the project coordinator in creating a framework for the monitoring and evaluation process of project activities throughout the duration of the project;
Support project field team in entering, organizing and compiling data collected from the field;
Ensure data verification and validation under the supervision prior to its submission;
Record, manage and preserve monitoring and evaluation data in a safe, accessible way;
Analyze and discuss findings based on regular monitoring data;
Support the Project coordinator in providing recommendation to Qitabi management team based on field needs and quantitative evidence;
Suggest ways to facilitate data collection and the flow of data among Project field team;
Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and propose solutions along with the project Coordinator;
Support the Project Coordinator to ensure that partner, and Senior Management data queries and requests are addressed in an accurate and timely manner;
Assist Project Coordinator in drafting weekly and quarterly reports;
Assist Project Coordinator in conducting trainings to Qitabi field staff on the M&E reporting system.

Skills & Qualifications

Min 2- 3 years of Monitoring and Evaluation experience (essential) within a nonprofit Organization;
Capacity to produce high-quality briefs and reports in both English & Arabic;
Data collection and management;
Excellent use of computer with command on MS Excel among other packages of MS Office;
Proven skills in critical thinking, assessment and analysis;
Demonstrated ability in report writing and presentation;
Demonstrated ability to train and build capacity of others;
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment;
Strong organizational skills;
Excellent communication, team building and training skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in and outside the association.
