Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize and prepare the different activities but also entails report writing, and donor relations
  • Ensure that program activities operate in accordance with the framework outlined in the proposal
  • Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization
  • Ensure that program activities comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards
  • Develop forms and records to document program activities
  • Oversee the collection and maintenance of records on the clients of the program for statistical purposes according to the confidentiality/privacy policy of the organization
  • Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to gain support for the program and to solicit input to improve the program
  • Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements
  • Ensure that the program operates within the approved budget
  • Monitor and approve all budgeted program expenditures
  • Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to the Executive Director on a regular basis (bimonthly)
  • Ensure that all financial records for the program are up to date
  • Ensure financial reports and supporting documentation for funders are prepared as outlined in funding agreements
  • Provide required information to have invoices generated and submitted to funders according to the established timelines
  • Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and conduct a bi-annual evaluation report according to the program evaluation framework
  • Report evaluation findings and recommend changes to enhance the program, as appropriate
  • Update to social media frequently – and include other forms of electronic outreach
  • Conduct research in preparation for diverse activities

 

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in a related field from a renowned university. Masters is a plus.
  • Proven experience in working with gender issues – work experience and/or research/academic experience
  • Demonstrated ability to self-start, meet deadlines and yet be part of a team working toward a common goal
  • Strong interest in gender issues, human rights, social justice
  • Thorough knowledge of current events
  • Ability to liaise with donors
  • Proven experience to work cooperatively and in a leadership role with students, staff, faculty, and community members
  • Strong leadership, and organizational skills
  • Social media and computer skills essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic
