Communication & Media Officer

DESCRIPTION: 

• Maintains ARCPA’s website and social media platforms.

• Records and handles audio-visual documentation of activities, and supports the dissemination of documentation on social media.

• Prepares short films for posting and supports editing films produced by ARCPA.

• Supports media production.

• Maintains the media archive and follows up on the digitalization of ARCPA’s resources.

• Supports film screening events and performances, when needed.

• Distributes films to local, regional, and international festivals.

• Ensures that related equipment is well maintained and stored.

• Be creative and skilled in video editing and graphic animation

• Support the media staff  when needed

• Supports the preparation of PowerPoint presentations for the coordination team.

• Develops proposals, progress reports, and final reports for supervised projects.

• Represents ARCPA in related events.

• Ensures the development of messages that reinforce ARCPA brand/identity and attract media attention through a range of documents, publications and electronic services.

• Monitors the preparation of ARCPA’s communication tools from conceptualization to production – Annual Report, website,  brochures, fact sheets.

• Coordinates technical and logistical preparation for ARCPA press Conferences, Network’s Conference

• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with local and international media

• Liaises and cooperates with media for work-related issues such as advocacy, monitoring, awareness, ARCPA events, and activities.
• Performs other job-related tasks as requested by supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications Arts, Radio/TV, Fine Arts or Journalism

• At least 3 years of relevant experience
