MAIN DUTIES

  • Implement PSS activities as guided by the PSS Coordinator
  • Assist field teams in addressing basic Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Child Protection, and Psychosocial Support concerns.
  • Conduct outreach to children, youth, caregivers and encourage them to engage in the center’s activities.
  • Implement awareness-raising sessions and campaigns under the supervision of the PSS Coordinator.
  • Facilitate structured, community-based, and themed PSS sessions for children, adolescents, and caregivers.
  • Facilitates or supports project related trainings/workshops for staff and volunteers.
  • Prepare reports on the implemented workshops, outreach activities, awareness sessions and identification/referrals, and related issues.
  • Identify and refer cases to the social worker.
  • Attend relevant training sessions and meetings.
  • Facilitate sensitization sessions on life skills and interpersonal skills for children, adolescents, and caregivers.
  • Maintaining attendance records, prepare training materials, and organize activities related to the center.
  • Represents ARCPA in related events.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as requested by supervisor.

 Qualifications and Competencies:

Previous experience in implementing PSS and recreational activities

Excellent communication,  presentation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to deliver information to different age groups.

Excellent computer skills

Self-motivation and strong team spirit

Dynamic personality and ability to work under pressure

Able to work under pressure and overtime, when needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The incumbent is required to work 6 days a week.

Working hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the winter season and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the summer season.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in Sociology, Public Relations or a related field or extensive related experience
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Ability to objectively observe, coach, and mentor peers.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.
