Youth and Drugs Awareness Project Coordinator

  • Gathers data relevant to drug awareness and consolidates training and awareness-raising materials and prepares a unified curriculum.
  • Facilitates or supports project-related training/workshops for youngsters, youth, volunteers, staff school teachers, and caregivers.
  • Supports organizes and participates in awareness campaigns, roundtables, training workshops, and meetings related to the project.
  • Coordinates with local and international partner organizations active in Lebanon to provide training to youth.

  • Supports the development of monitoring and evaluation tools for the project.
  • Monitors all aspects of project implementation, identifies challenges, and proposes corrective action to expedite implementation.
  • Supports the identification and selection process of experts and trainers contracted under this project.
  • Leads and monitors youth groups contracted to work in spreading drug awareness.
  • Prepares monthly reports.
  • Prepares correspondence and invitation letters as relevant to project activities.
  • Represents ARCPA in related events.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as requested by supervisor.

Desired qualification:

Experience working on development and/or health projects

Ability to work effectively with Coalition members, the community at large, management, and co-workers.

Ability to build a network of dedicated community members including law enforcement, businesses, and other programs with the goals of providing effective programs for children and families, especially in substance abuse.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  •  Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field (public health, psychology, social work, education, or closely related field); at least 2 years experience in human service delivery or other community-based programs or a combination of community service and program administration is required.
  •  Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet Software. Demonstrated leadership skills and proficiency in public speaking, ability to facilitate individual-level strategy curriculums, data compilations, and program development.
  •  Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  •  Must have flexibility in work schedules as some evening and weekend schedules are possible in order to fulfill the deliverables set forth in the contract.
  • Driving license and ability to drive to different project locations. 
  •  Ability to collaborate and demonstrate leadership skills and able to work cooperatively with community partners, families, and children
