Youth Coordinator Assistant

MAIN DUTIES

Activity Coordination

  • Contribute to the development of the center’s activities in coordination with the Al-Jana team.
  • Outreach to children and youth and encourage them to participate in the center’s activities.
  • Support the implementation of the Youth Volunteers Programme at the Center.
  • Support the implementation of awareness-raising sessions and campaigns
  • Support the implementation of Youth Program activities including small business support and youth-led initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support the referral of Psycho-Social Support Program Components, in coordination with the PSS team.

Training

  • Support and deliver employability, entrepreneurship, and Life Skills training workshops following a preset curriculum.
  • Support the trainers and youth during the implementation of TVET workshops, and Technology Training.
  • Deliver awareness-raising sessions and lead awareness-raising campaigns.

Administration

  • Support administrative work related to the center including the development of action plans, reporting (monthly and quarterly), and others.
  • Support logistics work related to the center including required maintenance and office supplies among others
  • Facilitate the implementation of project-related training workshops for staff and volunteers
  • Support project internal monitoring and evaluation processes
  • Participate in project meetings and UN coordination meetings/working groups at the field level and provide regular feedback
  • Represents ARCPA in related events
  • Performs other job-related tasks as requested by the supervisor

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Technology, Information Management, Management Information Systems, Sociology, Education Fields
  • At least two years of experience working in youth development, or in an educational setting related to training and development specialized in Youth Programmes (life skills, entrepreneurship skills, and employability skills.).
  • Creativity and initiative to independently lead projects.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to lead workshops for groups of youth and caregivers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Comfortable conducting outreach activities is a must.
  • Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cultural sensitivity/excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
  • English proficiency is a must.

  • Coaching and mentorship skills
  • Team player with the ability to deliver information to different age groups
  • Able to work under pressure

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The incumbent is required to work 6 days a week
  • Working hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the winter season and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the summer season
