Center Manager

General Objectives and Tasks:

1. Manage the activities and functions of the center while adhering to the scope of action (strategy, culture, management systems, and budgets):

  • Complete daily administrative and budgetary tasks (reservations, pricing, invoicing, payment collection, customer records, bill payments, purchases, facility, and equipment maintenance).
  • File or verify simple administrative documents (invoices, vouchers, purchase orders).
  • Monitor the budget implementation and performance indicators, taking appropriate measures accordingly.
  • Communicate the budget and performance indicators to all key personnel within the center.
  • Implement environmental conservation methods and sustainability-focused initiatives. 
  • Develop and conduct emergency response plans for unforeseen situations.
  • Determine activity forecasts and relay them to relevant departments (lodging, camping, shop, housekeeping).
  • Ensure support from departments and Business Units for center activities.

 

2. Integrate the center into its environment:

  • Identify and collaborate with community resources (municipality, schools, other NGOs, etc.).
  • Inform the community about the center's activities.
  • Participate in promoting arcenciel accommodation network and arcenciel in general.
  • Scout local farmers and distributors of local food products to establish essential supplier relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with the Wadi El Salib site and work towards resource optimization.

 

3. Ensure the quality of center services:

  • Perform reservation and occupancy planning.
  • Conduct check-ins and check-outs for clients.
  • Provide quality reports to the programs office.
  • Ensure proper implementation of arcenciel's procedures (human resources, transportation, accounting, security protocols, etc.).
  • Welcome, identify, and assist clients throughout their stay, from arrival to departure.
  • Address customer feedback and find appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure safety on the premises (e.g., availability of fire extinguishers) and adherence to safety guidelines by volunteers and users.
  • Manage the procurement and purchasing of consumables and equipment.
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the facilities and outdoor areas and maintain installations and furniture.
  • Promote energy efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Adhere to the annual unit budget and strive to maintain profit margins to preserve and strengthen the operating contract.

 

4. Manage the center's team:

  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of the team members.
  • Monitor and oversee each volunteer's responsibilities at the center.
  • Ensure a conducive and comfortable working environment for the center's staff (quietness, space, cleanliness, etc.).
  • Handle the administration and management of center volunteers (working conditions, absences, leave, insurance, etc.).
  • Identify ongoing training needs for center personnel and submit recruitment and training requests (related to ecology, sustainable development, etc.) to the human resources department.

 

5. Coordinate with the Scouts of Lebanon (SDL):

  • Ensure a close collaboration with the Scouts of Lebanon (SDL) association for the camping site.
  • Promote complementarity between arcenciel and Scouts of Lebanon (SDL).

Working Schedule: Monday till Friday; From 09:00 AM till 05:00 PM.

Contract Type: 1 year contract (Renewable depending on funding and performance).
