Human Resources Officer

General objectives and tasks:

 

1-Assist in the different stages of recruitment and manpower planning activities across the overall mission:

  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Post openings through the use of social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates; job boards, careers website, social recruiting, etc.
  • Acquire and gather resumes from different sources.
  • Reply to all applicants’ emails within 24 hours.
  • Screen received resume and shortlist the potential candidates who meet the requirements.
  • Conduct phone interviews.
  • Contact selected candidates to organize and schedule interview meetings.
  • Assist the manager in the first interview and in the selection phase.
  • Assist in writing and communicating results to assessed candidates within a period of 2 weeks.
  • Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates and record the applications in the database in advance of need.
  • Assist in the integration process of the new hires through conducting induction sessions, ensuring the needed support, organizing and planning the integration day as well as the team building journey.
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.

 

2-Assist in different stages of training and development activities across the overall mission:  

  • Research and recommend new sources for learning and development opportunities.
  • Assist in drafting induction and policy briefings (on Word, and PowerPoint) for new hires as per established SOPs.
  • Assist in conducting training needs assessment for technical and soft skills in an aim to identify KSA gaps that need to be addressed.
  • Assist in tracking and updating the identified training needs of all volunteers into relevant databases.
  • Assist in establishing individual training plans for new hires.
  • Organize the logistics for training activities; i.e. reserve training room, necessary equipment and materials (computer equipment, supplies, catering ...) and ensure their test verification before each training.
  • Attend trainings delivered to record the presence and the participation of the employees, and conduct the training evaluation as per established SOPs.
  • Recommend training improvement plans while reflecting the feedback evaluation, measured impact and recommendations of the trainers and trainees.
  • Seek for new deals with companies to be included in the employee benefits card e.g. restaurants, gyms, appliance companies, car mechanics, etc.
  • Update offers and deals on a semi-annual basis.
  • Prepare and send contracts to participating companies after acquiring required validations.
  • Come up and assist in event management on several occasions during the year (Annual gatherings, Christmas Events, Mother’s and Father’s Day, Women’s Day, Laborer’s Day, Arcenciel’s Establishment Day, Breast Cancer Month …).

 

3-Handle filing and archiving for recruitment, manpower planning, in addition to training and development activities.

  • Update the filing and archiving tree with newly established policies, procedures, tools, and MOUs.
  • Follow up on collecting signatures while recording, filing and archiving all related recruitment, manpower planning, training and development tools in relevance to ISO Standards.

 

Position requirements:

Professional skills:

  • Understanding and previous experience of the recruitment and training and development processes.
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, behavioral, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with various recruitment and training and development processes (phone interviewing, reference check, E-learning, etc.)
  • Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office, HRMS is a plus.
  • Skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Tactful and diplomatic.
  • Ability to work independently and at the same time as part of a team.

  • Ability to multitask and handle accurately multiple projects.

 

Working Schedule: Monday till Friday from 09:00 am till 05:00 pm.

Contract Type: CDD 1 year(Renewable).
