Outreach and Social Worker - Halba

General objectives & tasks:

1- Outreach activities:

• Reach out to host communities and Syrian refugees’ youth (age 15-25) in Akkar area.
• Reach out to associations and institutions in Akkar area that are influential in dealing with youth in dire conditions.
• Conduct interviews for data collection and outreach.
• Assess beneficiaries’ needs based on the data collected.
• Create and classify files of each case.
• Promote and ensure their attendance to the sessions/trainings held.

 2- Social Work:

• Welcome people in need of social services within the social unit at Halba center.
• Conduct interviews to assess people’s current situation.
• Conduct field visits when necessary (home visit, school, hospital, etc.) to understand the individual’s situation within his living environment.
• Provide social support to beneficiaries along with social services based on available resources.
• Promote the development and autonomy of people by providing social support to facilitate their integration, adaptation, rehabilitation at the workplace.
• Develop personalized social work practices.

 3- Coordination and follow up:

• Coordinate and collaborate with arcenciel centers’ staff and the external partners of the association.
• Cooperate with the specialists at different units of the center for each case.
• Organize sessions/trainings for the beneficiaries and make sure all the related parties are well informed and present at the sessions.
• Plan the process with a multitasking approach.
• Participate in working groups to enrich the institutional and inter-institutional reflection.
• Develop and retain solid connections with potential partners and permanent members of the association in order to ensure the social unit’s mission and serve the greatest possible number of people.

4- Documentation and reports:

• Write a detailed report for each beneficiary’s assessment and needs.
• Write a report about the activities conducted along with its related documentation (pictures, attending sheets etc.).
