Special Education Assistant Teacher - Taanayel

General objectives and tasks:

General Objectives:

  • Assist the special education teacher in providing children suffering from physical, social, mental, psychological problems, with learning activities and experiences.
  • Help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

 

Tasks:

  • Support the teacher in promoting an appropriate learning environment.
  • Support in preparing the classroom resources and the needed materials.
  • Participate in developing hygienic, food and clothing autonomy at children.
  • Maintain safe, clean and effective classroom.
  • Check up regularly on the class maintenance and report any maintenance issue.
  • Coordinate with the nurse to ensure the health of the children under the supervision of the special education teacher.
  • Ensure the safety of the children during the bus trips in the early morning and in the afternoon.
  • Ensure a safe pick up of the children from the bus to the classroom and vice versa.
  • Make sure that all messages to the parents are shared in a professional and an efficient way under the supervision of the special education teacher.
  • Follow up with the parents on the attendance of their children and record all the absences and the reasons behind.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings and trainings.
  • Show understanding and commitment to children safeguarding policy and inclusion principles.

Working Schedule: Monday till Friday from 08:00 am till 04:00 pm.

Contract Type: CDD 1 year(Renewable).
