STATEMENT OF WORK
CEP Training
- Background
ARK is currently delivering a project that seeks to build the Palestinian community’s resilience against violence and instability in six of Lebanon’s 12 Palestinian refugee camps. As part of the project, ARK will work with key stakeholders (committees) to introduce principles of good governance and facilitate community-driven processes towards improving governance outcomes in the camps.
- Purpose
ARK requires a team of trainers to implement trainings over the course of November and December to these stakeholders. Specifically, the training team will provide them with training around principles of good governance, including training on public service management, community engagement, civic dialogue for peacebuilding, as well as specific technical trainings on skill such as fundraising and communications, among others.
- Description of Services Required
- Needs Assessment: The Service Provider will conduct an assessment of the needs of stakeholders in order to prepare a tailored training program for each stakeholder.
- Planning: The Service Provider must plan for each training workshop, including 1) designing the trainings format and agenda; 2) preparing any training/facilitation material and content; and 3) supporting ARK in defining and outlining the challenges and problem statements for each event.
- Training: The Service Provider must provide trainers to each workshop to train the stakeholder in 6 Palestinian refugee camps on the themes, topics, or skills identified through needs assessment.
- The Service Provider must liaise throughout with ARK’s project team to ensure that training workshops are aligned with the project’s desired impact.
- Deliverables
- Service Provider will deliver a number of training workshops between November and December.
- Milestones and Payment Schedule
- The Service Provider must carry out services described above throughout the duration of the project in November 2019 to December 2019
- Requirements and Obligations
- The Service Provider must possess the following:
- Strong experience planning and implementing workshops with Palestinian stakeholders
- A team of expert trainers on skills and topics related to governance, public administration, and community engagement
- An understanding of the Palestinian refugee camp context and other social issues
