Duties and Responsibilities

1. Student Outreach and Case Management

            •Identify and reach out to out-of-school children and at-risk youth.

            •Conduct home visits and community meetings to encourage school enrollment and ongoing attendance.

            •Develop and manage individual case files for students, documenting academic, emotional, and social development.

            •Prepare detailed case studies to reflect students’ backgrounds, challenges, needs, and progress.

2. Psychosocial and Emotional Support

            •Provide basic psychosocial support (PSS) to children facing trauma, neglect, or behavioral challenges.

            •Conduct regular one-on-one and group counseling sessions, promoting emotional resilience and coping strategies.

            •Refer severe cases to specialized mental health professionals or service providers as needed.

            •Work closely with the PSS/Child Protection focal points to ensure proper follow-up and support plans.

3. Collaboration with Educators and School Team

            •Coordinate closely with SIAB teachers and facilitators to identify and address student needs.

            •Participate in weekly coordination meetings to review student progress, attendance, and psychosocial well-being.

            •Support in classroom management by offering insights into students’ behavioral and emotional states.

            •Provide guidance to teachers on how to handle sensitive issues within the learning environment.

4. Transition and Educational Inclusion

            •Facilitate the transition of children from non-formal to formal education systems when applicable.

            •Assist families in navigating the requirements for school registration and documentation.

            •Support follow-up on students who exit the SIAB project to ensure continuity of education.

5. Community Engagement and Awareness

            •Conduct awareness sessions with parents and caregivers on the importance of education, child protection, and psychosocial well-being.

            •Build strong relationships with community leaders and camp supervisors to enhance trust and project acceptance.

            •Act as a community mobilizer to encourage ownership and sustainability of the SIAB project’s impact.

6. Documentation and Reporting

            •Maintain accurate, confidential, and updated records of all cases and activities.

            •Submit weekly and monthly reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

            •Support the development of impact stories, success narratives, and visual documentation to reflect project progress.

A. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with refugee communities, children, or education-related programs.
- Strong understanding of child protection principles, non-formal education, and PSS approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Arabic (English is a strong asset).
- Ability to work independently in the field, including mobility across informal settlements.
- Empathetic, proactive, and culturally sensitive.
B. Skills and Capacities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and with minimal supervision
- Good organizational and basic project management skills
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of the NGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector is a plus.
