School Principal- Adduha High School

Job Title: School Principal   Reports to: President of the Association.   Supervises: Students and all teachers of the school.   Overall role:     The school Principal serves as the educational leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the school Principal work collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the school staff hired by the Board of Directors and to communicate effectively with parents. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations.   Main tasks:   -        Prepares yearly School Improvement Plan in coordination with the President of the association; provides periodic progress reports.   -        Develops annual budget plan for the school.   -        Ensures the improvement in academic excellence through overall program evaluation and the use of innovative classroom testing measurements.   -        Searches and implements "best practices" in academic and educational administration, evaluates them and makes recommendation.   -        Generally represents the school at public events and community events to the school.   -        Meets with all staff who report directly to him/her to discuss and follow-up work plans and activities.   -        Meets with teachers and students as needed.   -        Plans in coordination with the academic and subject coordinators the annual calendar.   -        Gives the final approval of the allocation of teaching hours.   -        Meets with the academic coordinator and student affairs officer for making a final decision for admission of new students and expulsion of students with disciplinary and/or academic matters.     -        Supervises the work of administrative and academic staff and provides them with needed support and advices.   -        Gives final decisions before conducting in and out workshops; suggests training needs in coordination with the H.R. Department.   -        Evaluates staff directly reporting to him/her; writes final comments in all other evaluation forms and submits them to the H.R. Department.   -        Attends meetings, workshops, and training sessions during and outside school hours.   -        Suggests issuing correspondence letters to all staff (warnings, appreciation letters…)   -        Prepares the annual school recruitment needs and submits them to the H.R. Department in a defined period of time.   -        Participates directly in the recruitment process.   -        Establishes procedures that create and maintain attractive, organized, functional, healthy, clean, and safe facilities.   -        Develops clearly understood procedures and provide regular drills for emergencies and disasters.   -        Communicates with the President regularly about the needs, successes and general operation of the school.   -        Protects confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and uses discretion in sharing such information within legal Confines.   -        Enforces uniform policy and appearance policy so as to assure a school environment that is focused on group spiritual and academic achievement rather than on individuals.   -        Performs other duties of similar nature as requested by the President of the Association.   Requirements:   Education Background: M.A. in educational administration and supervision or any related field.   Experience: Min 10 years of teaching experience.                Min 5 years of Middle Management experience (academic coordinator, coordinator…)                Min 5 years of relevant experience.   Languages: Good in Arabic & English.   Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)   Personal skills: Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills (ability to solve problems discreetly; staff development ,time management, team work spirit, issue and conflict resolution ,able to work in own initiative; able to perform tasks without direct supervision)      Working Days:    Mondays through Fridays.
