Speech Therapist

Assessment and Diagnosis

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication difficulties. 
• Develop Individualized Therapy Plans (ITPs) tailored to each child's needs.
• Monitor and document children’s progress, adjusting therapy strategies as needed.

Intervention and Therapy

• Implement evidence-based speech and language therapy techniques to improve communication skills. 
• Use interactive and play-based approaches to engage children in therapy sessions. 
• Support children in developing articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension. 
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions as required.

Collaboration and Support

• Work closely with educators and psychologists to integrate speech therapy goals into classroom activities. 
• Guide parents and caregivers on techniques to support speech and language development at home. 
• Identify cases requiring external referrals and coordinate with specialists when needed.

Reporting and Supervision

The speech therapist will report to the Project Manager and Coordinator and work closely with educators, psychologists, and social workers.
 

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field. 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in speech therapy, preferably with children in vulnerable settings. 
• Strong knowledge of child development, language acquisition, and intervention techniques. 
• Experience working with children with learning difficulties, autism, and trauma-related speech impairments. 
• Proficiency in Arabic; knowledge of English and/or French is an asset. 
• Strong communication, collaboration, and case management skills. 
• Commitment to child protection and safeguarding policies.
