Training on Food Safety Standards & Hazards

In light of the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the stumbling economic situation that are affecting
Lebanon at several levels, the constant health hazards threatening the most vulnerable communities in
Lebanon, this project aims to support SMEs & MSMEs of Tripoli, specifically in the food & hospitality
sector.


About the topic of the course:


The workshop shall address the food safety challenges facing today’s food service industry. In particular, it
should orient participants and food establishments to effectively develop, implement, and maintain a quality
management system.


The Food Safety Standards & Hazards training entails at least the following topics:

  • Essentials of food safety and the required prerequisites
  • Implementation of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
  • Food Safety internal audit techniques

Position Duties and Responsibilities


The specific tasks of the consultant are as follows:

  • Prepare and design training materials, tools, presentations, assignments, and activities, in communication and mutual understanding with the AFDC team using a highly interactive training methodology that demonstrates awareness of adult learning modes. Material must be prepared using templates provided by AFDC and must comply with AFDC branding and marking requirements.
  • Provide all the material needed for the training sessions, including for example PowerPoint slides, handouts, etc.
  • At the end of the training, the consultant will present a detailed report about the training, including description of content and approach and data on participants’ assessments of effectiveness of the training.
  • The trainer will work with AFDC project team in close cooperation with the selected businesses in order to ensure an adequate delivery of the training program.
