Training on Social Media Marketing for Small Business

This project aims to support SMEs & MSMEs of Tripoli in upskilling their digital marketing capabilities
and helping them obtain market-relevant digital skills to increase sales. The training program will enhance
participants' knowledge in digital marketing skills, including social media marketing, E-commerce, paid
ads, etc. It will provide practical know-how and up-to-date knowledge in the domain of social media
marketing.

Social media offers free access to a vast audience of potential customers for any product, and social media
platforms provide an opportunity for small brands to grow and engage with a close-knit community of both
present and future customers.


Social media marketing can help small businesses and entrepreneurs:

With social media, you can spread information about your business in a quick and cost-efficient

Methodology:


The Workshop should be geared towards Internet Business learning and uses participatory approaches as
much as possible. A variety of methodologies can be used, including presentation, discussions, group work,
video discussions, question and answers, practical sessions (hands-on practice), small and large group
exercises, and simulations. The applicant is requested to submit their proposed methodology along with
their application for this role.


Position Duties and Responsibilities


The specific tasks of the consultant are as follows:

  • Prepare and design training materials, tools, presentations, assignments, and activities, in communication and mutual understanding with the AFDC team using a highly interactive training methodology that demonstrates awareness of adult learning modes. Material must be prepared using templates provided by AFDC and must comply with AFDC branding and marking requirements.
  • Provide all the material needed for the training sessions, including for example PowerPoint slides, handouts, etc.
  • At the end of the training, the consultant will present a detailed report about the training, including description of content and approach and data on participants’ assessments of effectiveness of the training.
  • The trainer will work with AFDC project team in close cooperation with the selected businesses in order to ensure an adequate delivery of the training program.
