Project Background and Objectives The project “Towards more Resilient Communities in Lebanon” is a project funded by the USAID through MSI and BALADI CAP program and implemented by the Association for Forests, Development and Conservation (AFDC). The Objective of this project is to implement the disaster management capacities of 29 municipalities identified through BALADI CAP’s Civic Engagement for Democratic Governance. In particular, the project will build the capacities of municipalities in emergency response planning, in crisis management with emphasis on Syrian refugees, in addition to developing municipalities’ emergency response plans. AFDC will achieve the set objectives by engaging relevant community stakeholders, as well as public officials at the municipal and regional level. The planned activities include training workshops, coaching visits, on-the-job training and table-top exercises. Scope and Requirements: The Field Officers will: -          Assist the Project Director and Chief Technical Leader to conduct the OJTs (preparation, implementation, reporting); -          Conduct field visits to concerned municipalities to collecte needed information as identified by the project technical team (community resources, risks and hazards, etc.); -          Assist in the data analysis process; -          Assist in compiling the reports; and -          Assist the project team in general to achieve the set tasks as per the project action plan.
