The Project Coordinator will be working in a multidisciplinary team on some specific projects with AJEM and its partners. Beside the AJEM main target on helping the vulnerable people in the Lebanese detention places, the work of the Project Coordinator will extend to cover the Beqaa and Tripoli Areas to help and support the refugees in the camps and in the collective shelters within AJEM mission .
Tasks:
Supervise and manage the project
Announce the project objectives, results expected and deadlines
Develop an action plan and management system in collaboration and under supervision of the programs manager.
Manage and follow up the general log frame of the project
Design small trainings and awareness sessions to communities and focal points.
Supervise all activities about providing legal aid, legal counselling and legal representation for criminal law cases
Organize and control awareness activities with the municipalities, information dissemination sessions on technical topics and trainings on key topics…
Draft a monthly report on all activities.
Take the necessary decisions in collaboration and under the supervision of the programs manager according to the different project priorities
Inform management of any problems or issues immediately and regularly make suggestions on how to improve efficiency and service;
Maintain a positive working relationship with AJEM staff members
Coordinate with other partners for updated information and for activity follow up (meetings, common visits…)
Completing administrative tasks, including office logistics, answering emails, etc.
Skills:
- Previous experience with NGOs or other agencies in the sector of protection as a coordinator or project manager
- Good written and oral communication skills in Arabic, French and English.
- Proficiency in all Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint...) and internet resources
-Ability to work as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team and coordinate between different parties involved in the activity.
- Belief in human rights and knowledge about civil society
- Knowledge about protection and legal aid mechanisms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
