CP Project coordinator

The Child Protection Project Coordinator supports the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of child protection projects;

Work closely with Child Protection Programme Manager

Responsible to effectively coordinate and provide supportive visits and follow-up of projects under responsibility. 

Work  on development of monitoring and evaluation systems for projects and working closely with the Programme Manager, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) department and partners; 

Provide project progress reports as per the donor requirement as well as whenever needed by the country office or the donor and  keep the donor informed on implementation progress;    

Represent Nabad at external forums/meetings as required in consultation with the sector head, to position the achievements of the project that he/she is responsible for; 

Together with the Donor - secure local involvement in the project, especially from youth and children; 

Facilitate project baseline study and terminal evaluation through participatory process, and working closely with partners; 

Conduct regular monitoring visits, support team at the project sites and prepare reports for documentation and follow-up actions; 

As needed, and in consultation with the Program Manager and sector head, mount appropriate and timely response to emergencies,  
 
 

 

Job Requirement

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
 
To be considered for the position, applicants should:  have minimum of Bachelor Degree in an area of social development or equivalent;  Recommended a minimum of 3 years experience in a corporate or NGO environment, with experience in community based child protection project coordination experience;  Knowledge and understanding of national protection systems, and technical knowledge on child protection monitoring and evaluation;

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching;  Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures;  

Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mindsets;  

Experience in partners management and capacity building;   

Experience of working successfully with senior managers in other parts of own organization or partner organizations to deliver major change;  

 Experience of successfully implementing changes to processes, improve and monitor quality standards and impact achieved;   

Experience of managing and shaping programmes to deliver greater efficiency and effectiveness, and  strengthening implementation of financial control processes;   

Solid budgeting skills and knowledge of key donor regulations; 

Ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner; 

Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies; 

Fluency in Arabic, and English, both verbal and written, required;
