Responsibilities:
- Prepare the daily activities of team under supervision
- Supervise the Hygiene Promotion (HP) team and monitor their activities
- Train, build the capacity and transfer skills to HP volunteers
- Investigate and facilitate the introduction of new approaches, methods, and key messages to improve the quality HP activities
- Provide guidance on field hygiene diagnostics
- Design tailored HP sessions as per the national WASH strategy standards
- Ensure HP activities are implemented as per workplan and as per donor requirements
- Ensure emergency preparedness, response and mobilization is well arranged
- Plan and monitor the progress of WASH HP activities
- Review and supervise data collection
- Ensure community engagement
- Plan and implement international hygiene celebratory days
- Plan and design distribution kits/materials as per contextual circumstances and as per donor requirements
- Plan and implement community cleaning campaigns
- Keep track and responsibility of HP stock items (in and out)
- Prepare/design new assessment surveys as necessary
- Provide regular reports to the Manager on project implementation progress (indicators, achievement…)
- Keep close (daily) communication with partner organization and update on activities
- Report monthly execution figures on internal, partner/donor tools.
- Support WASH Manager in preparation of periodic narrative/technical reports.
- Ensure that procurement, delivery, and distribution of materials and equipment are timely and according to procedures.
- Liaise with stock keeper on goods delivery and or out of stock requests
- Liaise with procurement and logistics department to follow-up on Purchase Requests
- Prepare weekly movement plan of team under supervision
- Coordinate with MEL department for monitoring progress and monthly reporting
- Close collaboration with local authorities across the whole project phase for information, approval & follow up purposes
- Interagency coordination: international and national NGOs working in WASH or other sectors, UN bodies, Municipalities Water Establishments
- Manage incoming and outgoing referrals through NABAD referrals channels
- Respond to incoming referrals related to WASH HP under area of intervention
- Close communication with MEL department to follow-up on progress and create/adjust monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Organize workshops with program teams/identify capacity building requirements
- Perform regular performance reviews for team under supervision
- Manage and report any potential conflict (internal or external) of team under supervision.
