Contribute to the development of organization, area, and program strategies; and initiate and participate in the development of relevant education and protection projects.
Coordinate and manage education and protection project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies, and donor and partner requirements.
Line manages all related education and protection program staff, including capacity and skills building.
Implement technical direction and ensure high technical quality of projects.
Ensure that the projects target beneficiaries who are most in need of protection, explore, and assess new and better ways to assist.
Develop and manage project budgets and coordinate across the other programs.
Oversee and be responsible for mainstreaming protection guidelines in Nabad's related activities as per Nabad's protection mainstreaming guidelines, and ensure that all breaches/concerns identified and reported are properly resolved.
Ensure the quality of protection interventions, and the coherence between all projects, ongoing and proposed, according to the overall strategy and coordinate the day-to-day implementation of protection related activities across relevant projects.
Receive the referral information related to protection cases on a monthly basis from the relevant focal points and take proper actions to ensure that the referral system is functioning in the best interest of beneficiaries as per the interagency referral's procedures.
Assess trends and changes in the context and assess the needs of children and youth to identify gaps in education service provision and identify ways to better assist refugees.
Monitor and evaluate ongoing and completed education projects, using Nabad evaluation tools and the education indicator matrix.
Manage and coordinate outreach activities, Campaigns and Ministry-led Accelerated Learning Program in close cooperation with UNHCR, UNICEF, and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and other parties as needed.
Develop and follow up on detailed project work plans, procurement plans, spending plans, M&E plans, and recruitment plans for all education and protection-related activities.
Liaise with local authorities, such as the regional Ministry of Education and municipalities, on Nabad education projects and activities.
Conduct regular spot-checks and monitoring visits to Nabad learning centers.
Report on a monthly basis to the head of programs and finance manager on implementation progress and challenges and on budget expenditure in education and protection programming.
Represent Nabad in internal and external forums, such as the education partner meeting, education and protection working groups, and to authorities such as local ministries and relevant municipalities.
