RFQ-56 | Design and Supervision Consultancy for The Implementation of Chlorine or other filtration system in Fnaydek and Ein El Tineh” (North Lebanon and Akkar)

This call for consultancy covers two projects:

• Ein El Tineh:

Ein El Tineh is a village hosting 2400 Lebanese and 500 Syrian located in Minyeh-Donniyeh, North Lebanon. The residents of the village are relying in the moment on a contaminated supply of water. Tankamel Sawa and arche noVa are planning to support this community and provide a solar system to function the municipal well. Additionally, the water pumped from this well need to be treated or filtered with a chlorine or other filtration system.

 The aim of this call is to study the existing system and the detailed water test accordingly provide the efficient and sustainable chlorine or other filtration system.

• El Nabeh Khaled Fneydek:

Demographics and Location: Fneydek is a growing village located in the Akkar region of Lebanon, home to 38,733 Lebanese citizens and 1,267 Syrian refugees.

Water Sources and Infrastructure: The village relies on two primary water sources: the houweh and the kahef. The houweh sources provide gravity-fed water ranging from 5 to 12 inches in volume but dry up for 6 months of the year. Conversely, the kahef source consistently supplies 8 inches of water but requires pumping from the mid-Fnaidek area, the municipality used it during the dry season and when needed.

Eligibility: The Selected bidder/Consultant will not be allowed to apply for the implementation of both projects.
