MEAL Officer

Position Overview
The MEAL Officer is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities within AUB-NCC. This position ensures the collection, analysis, and use of data to enhance program quality and impact, while promoting accountability and continuous learning across teams and projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans, including logical frameworks.
• Design and manage data collection tools and methodologies.
• Analyze data and generate reports and other relevant evaluate materials.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor program activities.
• Establish and maintain feedback and complaint mechanisms.
• Monitor feedback and ensure timely and appropriate action.
• Track project progress and manage documentation related to activities and outputs.
• Support budget monitoring and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date databases and information systems.
• Ensure data quality through regular audits and validation checks.
• Promote transparency in program delivery and performance.
• Ensure reporting compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Work closely with program teams to align MEAL activities with project objectives.
• Ensure that reporting meets organizational and donor requirements.
• Other relevant tasks.

Qualifications and Skills
Education: University degree in political science and international affairs, business, statistics, or related disciplines.
Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in MEAL.

Skills
• Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
• Solid data management skills, including database maintenance and data visualization techniques.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing project needs.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with project management tools and techniques; experience with Power BI and Microsoft 365 is preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
