Agriculture Field Officer

Contribute to the organization of a practical course at the agriculture vocational schools for Lebanese and Syrian students; Assume responsibility for the day-to-day activities related to the organization of the course, the training of the teachers and the selection of the students, in accordance with the agreed plan of operations and in liaison with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fondazione Minoprio and the NGO BILADI; Visit the regions (Central Bekaa, Akkar, Batroun, Metn, Chouf, Marjaayoun, Nabatieh) and develop relationships and community mobilisation with Municipalities and stakeholders to enrol around 20 students for the Agriculture technical schools in each regions; Attend technical meetings related to the project (with municipalities, stakeholders, Local NGOs, MoA staff, schools’ teachers and directors, etc…) and elaborate the necessary reports; Cooperate in the organization of Italian experts’ missions (logistics, development of the content of the training, document translations, etc.) and participate to the training activities realized by the experts; Follow up the rehabilitation works with the schools’ directors; Find agricultural companies and societies for the students’ summer stages in each region; Organise the “life skills training” for the beneficiaries and cooperate with the local partners in the logistic for the” peace building ateliers”; Perform other duties as may be required by the Country Director in order to ensure that project operations proceed according to schedule and foreseen project results are achieved.
