Activity Implementation
Organize and facilitate recreational activities, including sports, games, art, music, and drama, that contribute to children's emotional well-being and resilience.
Implement structured educational activities, such as literacy and numeracy games, creative learning sessions, and storytelling, to promote continuous learning and engagement during displacement.
Tailor activities to meet the needs of different age groups (3-5 years, 6-12 years, and 13-18 years) ensuring inclusivity for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
Child Engagement
Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where children feel comfortable participating in activities.
Encourage participation, teamwork, and respect for others during group activities, ensuring the inclusion of all children regardless of gender, background, or ability.
Develop rapport with children and identify any psychosocial or emotional needs that may require referral to specialized services.
Coordination and Collaboration
Collaborate with other animators, education, and child protection team members to ensure activities are well-coordinated and address the diverse needs of children.
Liaise with caregivers and community leaders to promote attendance and engagement in the activities.
Contribute to the design and improvement of the activities based on feedback from children and other team members.
Monitoring and Reporting
Track attendance in the activities to monitor children's engagement.
Regularly assess the impact of the activities on children's emotional and educational development.
Report any concerns regarding children's safety or well-being to the Child Protection team and follow up as necessary.
Provide weekly activity reports to the Senior Technical Officer, including successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
