- Work with learners aged between 8 and 15 years old.
- Engage learners in a variety of activities that are developmentally appropriate and caters for each child’s needs and well-being.
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable and respectful environment for the learners.
- Provide age-appropriate supervision and positive discipline.
- Regularly record learners’ attendance, progress and other relevant data on available platform.
- Conduct pre- and post-tests to assess students’ progress
- Design and administer formative assessments throughout the cycle.
- Identify and refer children with disabilities and protection concerns to relevant AVSI staff
- Provide accommodations, adaptations, and modifications for children with disabilities including designing IEPs within a multidisciplinary team (specialists, AVSI staff, caregivers)
- Supervise students and facilitate recreational activities during recess.
- Prepare and conduct Parent-teacher meetings once per cycle.
- Participate in required trainings and workshops
- Attend team meetings with the education staff when needed.
