Community Health Worker

Main Objectives, Conduct outreach activities with communities regarding health related topics, and support team members in integrating such messages in regular protection activities. Responsible of liaising between health/nutrition sector and child protection. Conduct outreach activities with communities regarding health related topics, and support team members in integrating such messages in regular protection activities. Main Responsabilities: Deliver information to the community (regarding maternal health, hygiene promotion, diseases and prevention) using tools (e.g leaflets), informal interaction, sensitisation sessions, etc. Plan sensitisation activities and tools/materials to be used Support CP assistants and animators and life skills team in delivering health-related messages to targeted communities Promote AVSI’s health and nutrition services in the community Support referral mechanisms to health centres and services Monitor under the supervision of the Nutrition Specialist the CMAM/IYCF activities in SDCs/PHCs Build relationships and trust with the communities/settlements from which the beneficiaries come Participate in health-related assessments in targeted communities Ensure timely data collection and reporting, including to the M&E team Write reports on a regular basis on activities conducted and needs assessed in the community Perform any other relevant duties as required
