Ensure timely and quality implementation of the Education in Emergency components, particularly non-formal education programmes, providing technical assistance as needed
With the Education team, ensure the establishment and implementation of operational work plans, setting clear targets and activity plans per school/programme site.
Communicate the targets, programme objectives and activity plans clearly to the education team as well as to teachers, parents and children, ensuring they are well understood.
Liaise on a daily basis with partners, communities (relevant authorities, parents-teachers associations), schools (directors, teachers etc.) and the AVSI Education Coordinator and Assistants to guarantee the smooth operation of the programme.
Conduct awareness sessions with families and other stakeholders in the programme location and set up community mechanisms to ensure their support of the non-formal education programme. Ensure regular monitoring, data collection and reporting of activities is done.
When required, work directly in the field with children, families and other stakeholders of the assigned programme location, providing information and advising beneficiaries on existing education activities and other social services, referring them to partners when required.
Develops and encourages new and innovative solutions
Work in close collaboration with the M&E Officer (Education section) for data analysis
Prepare weekly and monthly report for Hygiene activities
Perform any other relevant duties as required
