Information Management Officer

Contribute to the development of databases and tools

• Coordinate with the project team to create the corresponding databases for projects
• Participate in the development of monitoring tools and data collection forms using Activity Info system, ODK, Kobo
• Provide capacity building and support to project team and data collectors on the developed forms and tools

Supervises data entry and carries out data cleaning
 

• Manage the information management system of AVSI
• Assure the quality of data submitted– identify where mistakes have been made and ‘clean’ data
• Identify missing data and follow-up with focal points
• Ensure that the data in the database is up-to-date, regularly synchronized, and properly archived
• Put calculations in place on the database to perform first level analysis or prepare more complex analysis
• Ensure that all relevant documents and data are entered into the system and produce the required reports on a timely basis.

Carries out reporting and data analysis

• Ensure timely correct reporting to Sector or Interagency (e.g. activity info, etc.)
• Update and assure the proper functioning of the Power BI dashboard
• Work with the MEAL department to provide custom analysis of incoming program activity and assessment data
• Create maps using QGIS software, charts, analysis tables to effectively communicate data insights
