Monitoring And Evaluation Officer (Wash Sector)

The M&E Officer working in WASH sector will: Creates mechanisms for periodic community feedback and integrates this feedback into program design or re-design Conduct project site visits to provide hands-on training to field staff on how to capture and organize information for accurate documentation and reporting. Coordinates with the internal and external control unit to define, document, and update results achievements Ensure that WASH program have sufficient systems in place to meet program management standards and comply to donor regulations and good practice, including a dashboard for reporting to senior managers/executives Facilitates the elaboration of inclusive program selection criteria that takes into consideration the needs of different vulnerable groups, and monitors beneficiary selection processes to ensure that these criteria are followed Assists the M&E Manager in capacity building, program design, monitoring and evaluation exercises Support all programme teams in conducting monitoring and evaluation assessment and baselines Ensure that regular surveys are conducted on field to have an overview of the humanitarian context evolution and vulnerability of the populations affected. Support implementation of a data management system to operationalize the M&E strategy; a system that informs planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the emergency response programme. In collaboration with the Field Coordinator, WASH Specialist and the program managers ensure the writing of accurate, quality monitoring reports with appropriated data to measure the indicators and the quality of AVSI’s intervention. Attend workshops and trainings as needed. Perform any other relevant duties as required     Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relevant to social sciences, civil engineering, humanities, development studies with at least 7 year of experience OR a Master Degree in any other major with at least 5 years of experience At least two years of implementing surveys and/or other research activities within an NGO environment preferred Computer skills and report writing experience Strong demonstrated analytical skills Good knowledge of health situation and learning problems of Syrians refugees children in the targeted villages Knowledge of SPHERE and commitment to humanitarian principles Familiarity with database systems is an advantage. Good communication skills and good team player. Good knowledge of English and/or French language – spoken and written skills. Mother tongue Arabic speaker
