Private sector coordinator

  • Assess the needs in term of capacity building of the private sector assistants and address it accordingly;
  • Insure inter-projects coordination for achievement of objectives of all programs
  • Provide effective guidance and technical assistance to private sector assistants, especially to those in need of improvement of performance;
  • Coordinate with PS assistants to prepare activities implementation, including preparing calendar of activities and logistical organization of internships in liaison with schools’ directors, teachers and contractors;
  • Conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings to discuss and resolve staff and program issues and concerns;
  • Elaborate a strategy for the Private sector department, including the development of a private companies’ network and awareness raising activities among schools and students
  • Coordinate and supervise Private sector staff and finalize the operational work plans, including setting monthly objectives;
  • Develop comprehensive evaluation and monitoring tools to measure the impact of the internship placement on the employability of students;
  • Provide reports along the year to the Project coordinator/M&E department including quantitative data and full descriptive narrative as per the project annual work plan;
  • Coordinate with Private sector assistants the outreach in the regions of intervention, develop relationships with private companies available to offer internship positions to students;
  • Create active links between schools and Ministry of Agriculture’s personnel and private companies to reinforce employability of students
  • Liaise with Technical officers for the relationship with schools’ directors, tutors and teachers to strengthen engagement of schools in supporting students accessing internship opportunities
  • Ensure the success of the organized internship/awareness activities respecting logistical, administrative and communication processes aligned with donor’s rules and requirements
  • Represent AVSI in the regional meetings upon request
  • Perform any other relevant duties as required.
