School Observers

The 8 School Observers will be trained by World Learning (WL) and each school observer will visit classrooms daily across the 2-3 schools to monitor teacher’ implementing the methodologies in foundational literacy and numeracy, as well as Social Emotional Learning (SEL).

The School Observer will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of the project by monitoring the classroom teaching methodologies of the teachers and providing on-the-job coaching and capacity building as per the tasks and responsibilities outlined below.

 The School Observer will have the following duties and responsibilities:

•             Conduct daily visits to classrooms across 2-3 schools.

•             Observe teacher's teaching methods and take notes on their strengths and weaknesses.

•             Provide feedback to teachers on their teaching methods and areas for improvement.

•             Provide on-job coaching to teachers who need further capacity building.

•             Keep records of observations and feedback provided to teachers.

•             Develop reports on the monitoring findings and share them with AVSI technical team

•             Participate in training and professional development opportunities provided by World Learning.
