The Teacher will:
Deliver Non Formal Education classes (Accelerated Learning Program, Basic Literacy, Catch up classes, Remedial) in schools and Informal Settlements
Facilitate and build a sound, good and close relation with parties involved in the project (school directors, parents, children)
Support local teaching staff
Organise school event and support the creation of School Hygiene Clubs together with AVSI field staff
Perform any other relevant duties as required
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in education with 3 years of experience or a bachelor in any other major with at least 2-3 years of experience
Master Degree is an asset
Computer skills and report writing experience.
Previous experience teaching children and/or teaching English/French as a second language
Excellent communication skills.
Good team player.
Excellent knowledge of languages depending on the major they will be teaching
