Teacher

Overall Responsibility:

The Retention Support teacher is in charge of implementing community- based retention support classes (in presence and/or remotely) to public school students (Grades 1 till 9)

Assignments and Functions:

A Retention Support Teacher:

• Plans, prepares, and delivers engaging and structured retention support sessions tailored to students’ academic needs.
• Regularly tracks and documents learners’ attendance, progress and other relevant data on available digital platform.
• Establishes a safe, protective and supportive learning environment.
• Applies age-appropriate supervision and positive discipline strategies.
• Addresses cultural and special needs ensuring an inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
• Participates in team meetings and capacity-building workshops as required.

Profile & Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a university diploma (preferably in Education or a related field).
• Experience: At least 3 years of teaching experience in public or private schools
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of elementary and intermediate levels’ curricula.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to diverse learning needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Other Requirements:
  • Lebanese nationality.
  • Available to work during the program’s daily schedule (both online and in-person).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
