Wash Officer

The WASH Officer will: Design an Hygiene Promotion strategy for the program of AVSI in south Lebanon in collaboration with the WASH Specialist and WASH Coordinator Participation in the preparation, planning and performance of the health and hygiene promotion and community participation activities of the project in collaboration with Health, Protection and Education sectors Contribute in managing the health and hygiene and community participation technical team in their charge. Selection, supervision, training and/or coaching and evaluation of the personnel under their responsibility. Selection of the material and equipment resources for the health and hygiene promotion and community participation activities with suitable technical specifications and assuring quality. To attend the health and hygiene promotion co-ordination meetings of the area. Participate in writing of all required health reports (for AVSI, donors, partners, etc) Work in close collaboration with the M&E Officer (Protection) for data analysis Contribute to data collection when needed Perform any other relevant duties as required   Preferred Requirements: Academic background in Public health, environmental health, community development, water and sanitation for developing communities. At least three (3) years’ experience on field Computer skills and report writing experience. Excellent communication skills. Good knowledge of English and/or French language – spoken and written skills. Mother tongue Arabic speaker Good team player Well organized and hard worker Valid driving licence (2 years minimum)
