Oversee and coordinate the Arts & Culture Center day-to-day operations and activities.
Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; establish schedules and methods for providing Arts & Culture Center activities; implement policies and procedures.
Administers planned programs with trainers, as required, and generates and completes the programs and activities.
Promote and coordinate specific activities within the providing Arts & Culture Center program; prepare the content of the program event and facility marketing material including news releases, flyers, schedules of events, pamphlets, and brochures.
Represent the Arts & Culture Center and serve as liaison to outside agencies; provide information and assistance to users of the Center; oversee and administer contracts for usage.
Create and maintain the scheduling of the Cultural Arts Center.
Serve as the Cultural Arts Center’s safety manager including monitoring compliance with all safety and emergency policies and procedures.
Coordinate with Arts & Culture Center manager and deputy manager regarding upkeep and maintenance of all facility equipment and furnishings including computer and software programs and routine maintenance sound system, projector and other associated furnishings.
Research and track all cultural grants and requests for sponsorships.
Assist in producing and coordinating a variety of events and productions at the Arts & Culture Center including annual festival and other productions as needed to help fulfill the Arts & Culture Center’s mission.
Assist in writing proposals and concept notes for the Arts & Culture Center new projects.
Perform related duties as required, including logistics and outreach tasks.
Manage the Arts & Culture public library, and monitor the external and internal lending movement.
Participate in the preparation and administration of assigned budget; submit budget recommendations; monitor expenditures.
Prepare monthly reports for the Arts & Culture Center manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic operations, services, and activities of an arts program. Practices and procedures of arts management. Marketing theories, principles and practices. Principles of basic report preparation. Methods and techniques of public relations. Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications.
Ability to work well with community groups and staff.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of current issues regarding the artistic activities with the capacity to provide solutions relative to this position.
Critical skill and aesthetic judgment regarding the arts and culture field.
Demonstrated fundraising and development skills.
Budget preparation and administration skills
Ability to communicate with others and to assimilate and understand information, in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
Ability to operate assigned equipment including the sound system.
Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
Good knowledge in English language (reading & writing).
