Basmeh & Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.
The business coach will help the beneficiaries in building their skills. The training will provide the necessary business and marketing skills to help them refine their skills, and write and implement a business plan. This set of newly acquired skills will also help them improve the quality of their work, constructing business plans for the two groups. Each group will consist of 15 beneficiaries who participate in the hydroponic project.
Also, the consultant will work closely with the team to increase their business skills, to feel more confident in updating and implementing the business plan against the content of rapid inflation, and be clearer on B&Z’s exit strategy for this project, should the business be successful.
Moreover, the trainer will be providing a few sessions on business development skills in two groups on market linkages (participatory approach), sales, communication, marketing, and online marketing.
General Responsibilities:
- Conducting strategic planning sessions with beneficiaries to help them set goals and develop strategies for achieving those goals.
- Update and implement the business plan against the current context and guidance on navigating the high rate of inflation and fluctuating exchange rates against market prices.
- Update and implement the exit strategy for the project.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth.
- Monitor the impact of the marketing strategies adopted on the sales of the product and make necessary amendments to the strategies.
- Prepare quotations and negotiate the prices and other issues.
- Create and Facilitate linkages between Producer Groups (beneficiaries) and enterprises.
- Work closely and conduct regular meetings with producer group members, entrepreneurs, business entities, and market actors to promote the quality of products and sales and marketing.
- Help the project team in organizing events and exhibitions for the promotion of products and capture potential markets.
Job Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in business, economic development, or any related field.
- 3 years’ experience in providing business training, coaching, and support for SMEs, cooperatives, and small-scale farmers
- Expert in creating business plans for different business sectors and levels and following
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office)
