Communication Officer

Primary Responsibilities: Collaborate with the communication manager in covering all the activities happening in the organization Develop a social media and a communication strategy in collaboration with the communication manager. Manage all social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), update them continuously, and evaluate the progress using Facebook insights and other evaluation tools. Prepare videos for fundraising campaigns as well as for the social media outlets and the archive. Organize the archive of all materials of the organizations. Write articles, press releases, success stories, and newsletters in Arabic and English. Take good-quality pictures that conform to the organization’s image and external policy. Communicate with the media, send press releases, organize their visits to our center, and follow up on their produced materials.   Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a subject area relevant to the position, such as communications, journalism, media studies, or other related fields. A minimum of 2 years experience in the field or office communication work. Fluency in English, both verbal and written as well as fluency in Arabic is required. Ability to work with people from different backgrounds and in different tasks. Ability to work under pressure Ability to travel outside Beirut to Tripoli, Akkar, and Al Beqaa is a plus. Good experience working with professional camera to produce videos and still pictures. Familiarity with the editing process Ability to work in Shatila and other camps
