Community Facilitator

Basmeh and Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community. As part of B&Z's commitment to Safeguarding, this position is subjected to background checks before an offer of employment is confirmed.

Under the supervision of the Project manager/Legal officer, the Community Facilitator will be responsible for fulfilling the activities for the project and will deliver his/her job with the relevant B&Z policies and procedure, donor’s requirement and the project’s objectives and guidelines. The specific duties include:

• To conduct Outreach activities (home visits, focus group, community meetings) in the areas covered by the project and doing periodical reports on the activities.
• To support preparation and implementation of awareness sessions
• To assess the needs of beneficiaries and to contribute to the implementation of a    referral system
• To plan and request the material needed for the activities
• To work in a very high level of coordination with Project Manager and legal officer in the areas of implementation.
• Set up a weekly plan for activities as per program targets.
• Maintain good team spirit, coordinate closely to provide the best services.
• Provide well-informed counseling and legal advice for the applicant’s legal issues
• Ability to do mediation, accompaniment of the beneficiaries to government department such Noufous, Moukhtar’s and GSO  
• Provide regular reporting to the Project manager/Legal officer
• Any other duties relating to the nature of the job as directed by the project manager
• To contact Mukhtars and beneficiaries and ensure finalization of Birth registration from beginning to end with clear and detailed documentation.
• Follow-up on sorting, requesting and documenting refreshments distributions to beneficiaries of the awareness sessions.
• Ensuring reaching target on a weekly basis and fulfilling all requested tasks from the line manager.
• Cooperative and collaborative with other organizations when it comes to referrals.
• cooperation and coordination with other B&Z units such as finance, HR, logistics, M&E and others.
• Abiding by Code of conduct and safeguarding policy as well as all other B&Z policies at all times and clearly reporting any observed incidents.
