Reports To : Education Project Coordinator 

Job Purpose : 

The coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and quality of the curriculum within subject area, supporting and guiding teachers, and ensuring student success through effective teaching practices and assessments. 

Main Responsibolitues:

Curriculum Development & Implementation

  • Develop the annual curriculum plan.  
  • Tailoring existing programs to meet the specific needs of diverse learners ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Develop standardized exam questions for each educational level in coordination with Teachers ensuring alignment with the curriculum.
  • Coordinating with the education specialist to create new teaching aids and other resources relevant to the plan.
  • Ensure (LS – ECE – BLN) Teachers have all necessary supplies and materials to execute the Lesson plans effectively.
  • Follow-up on preparation of daily lessons with the teachers to ensure alignment with educational objectives.
  • Supervise and collect daily lesson plans for all the Subjects and provide a monthly report on the department (LS – ECE – BLN). 
  • Facilitate the delivery of the education process ensuring that teaching methods and learning outcomes are aligned with the program's goals. 
  • Knowledge and skills in creating a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment by implementing effective classroom management strategie
  • Proficiency in using various educational technologies and digital platforms to enhance teaching and learning, including virtual classrooms.
  • Ability to design, implement, and modify curricula to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring alignment with educational standards and learning objectives.

Program Quality & Coordination

  • Coordinating with educators to ensure program quality and consistency.  
  • Working with other teams like M&E, administration and human resources to support educational goals.
  • Ensure all sessions are delivered to a high standard and fit the needs of teachers and pupils and align with organizational requirements.
  • Ensure that all the staff recruited are familiar with B&Z’s Code of Conduct and Child protection standards.
  • Work closely with the protection unit to ensure quality and minimum child protection standards are implemented and respected in all activities, including the child safeguarding policy and ensure that all the staff are able to identify at-risk cases and refer them to the social workers in the learning center.
  • Advocate for student-centered approaches and make adjustments to educational practices based on the evolving needs of learners.

Grading & Assessment

  • Oversee the grading system to ensure consistency and fairness in assessing student performance across all educational levels (LS, BLN, ECE).
  • Ensure that grades are recorded accurately in the system and shared with students and parents in a timely manner, following the organization's guidelines.
  • Provide regular updates on student progress through grading reports.
  • Review grade sheets regularly, collaborating with teachers to ensure that grading criteria align with the learning objectives and curriculum standards.
  • Support teachers in the grading process, offering guidance on best practices for assessment and ensuring that assessments are fair and reflective of student learning.

Monitoring & Evaluation

  • Assessing Program Effectiveness to evaluate the success of educational initiatives by tracking educational outcomes and identifying areas for improvement.  
  • Tracking Student Progress and achievement, identifying students who may need additional support.
  • Tracking Attendance and Participation maintaining records of student attendance, participation, and outcomes in both physical and virtual learning.  
  • Ensure that the delivery of education is evaluated thoroughly following evaluation procedures as directed by the PC.
  • Analyze and report on data to measure educational outcomes and inform adjustments to teaching strategies.

Teacher Support & Performance Management 

  • Evaluating teachers’ performance and follow up on executions of lesson plans and provide feedback on lesson delivery and adherence to educational standards. 
  • Support teachers by providing clear guidance on lesson execution and offer professional development opportunities to improve teaching quality.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with Teachers to discuss the educational process, and inform the Education Specialist and Education Program Coordinator with the meeting outcomes and action points.  
  • Promote proactive thinking among teachers, encouraging innovative practices and a results-oriented approach to improve the educational experience for students.

Student & Parent Engagement

  • Facilitate communication by conducting meetings with parents, caregivers, or community members to ensure that programs align with their needs and expectations. 
  • Follow up on the attendance of students and communicate with parents as needed.  
  • Follow up the attendance of students and inform the Admin Officer of any delay or defect.  
  • Follow up on the attendance of students and teachers in online learning groups, and inform the Admin Officer of any delay or defect.  
  • Ensure that students and teachers come to class on time, and inform the PC of any delays.

Resource Management

  • Managing Educational Resources: Overseeing the distribution and use of materials, technology, and equipment for educational purposes.  
  • Archiving all educational documents (lesson plans, worksheets, translated materials, etc.) with soft and hard copies, organizing them and submitting them to the learning center project manager.  
  • Assist in translating necessary materials or provide support for translation to ensure resources are accessible to all learners.

Administrative Support

  • Supports the Admin Officer with registering children in the education programs and ensure the accurate collection and management of attendance data. 
  • Collecting student attendance sheets from teachers and sharing them with the Admin Officer.  
  • Be responsible for the safety of students on the stairs and during breaks.  
  • Receiving and following up on technical problems sent by students through online learning groups and referring them to the relevant department.
  • Supports with contacting caregivers over the telephone when needed

Health, Safety, and Discipline

  • Ensure that students and teachers come to class on time, and inform the PC of any delays.  
  • Participate in maintaining discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive learning environment for all students and staff in accordance with school and county policies.  
  • Ensures adequate supervision to assure the health, welfare, and safety of all students.  
  • Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions, to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.  
  • Reports all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the PC immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible

Technology Support

  • Receiving and following up on technical problems sent by students through online learning groups and referring them to the relevant department.
  • Tracking students’ attendance during the remote learning.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for virtual learning, helping both students and teachers maximize their use of digital tools and resources.

Miscellaneous:Perform other tasks as requested by the Program Coordinator and Education Specialist, which may include administrative duties, special projects, or any other responsibilities deemed necessary to support the education program or organization’s goals.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • The percentage of completion of the designated educational plan.
  • Participate in producing teacher’s performance chart and evaluation form.
  • Produce the final table for students’ grades, status (passed/failed), and the percentage of passing students.

Delegation of Authority:

  • Delegate necessary tasks to Education Specialist and program coordinator.

Education & Experience:

  • BA in Education.
  • 5-10 years Teaching Experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience with curriculum development and revision.

  • Fluent in English and Arabic written and spoken.
