Educational Specialist

1. Define Education programming standards based on practice and international standards, ensure that Basmeh and Zeitooneh’s policy and standards for Education are developed/revised and remain up to date.   2. Develop Educational methods and tools; Based on Education policy/standards, ensure that (creative) methods and tools are developed for the implementation of Education Programs.   3. Monitoring Education programming. •Roll out Education standards and tools; •Advise on Educational program and project proposals; •Generate overview of quality of Education, including status, methods used and results achieved; Review the education strategy, proposals, reports and evaluations.   4. Build capacity of School program staff and partners in Education programming •Design/provide Briefings, Training of Trainers, and tailored trainings where needed and feasible; •Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to program staff, in the field of education.   5. Ensure linkage/integration with other thematic fields •Liaise periodically with other thematic Specialists. •Ensure use of uniform methods, tools and forms in activities, and training.   6.  Responsible for Education programming results •Lead the development and monitoring of the Education logical framework; and advise on use  PCs and FLMs in order to generate the required results. •Provide reports on Education achievements and developments.   Knowledge •Relevant academic background. •Specialist knowledge of current principles and practices of formal and non-formal education with children in conflict areas; Skills •Ability to express himself/herself skillfully in written and oral English and fluent in Arabic. •Strong critical analysis and strategic cognitive skills; •Leadership and coordination; •Ability to provide creative/interactive trainings; Excellent communication skills; ability to give and receive feedback.
