Basmeh & Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community
The FSL Field officer will collaboratively work with the project manager and key functions including Municipalities, and relevant members of the community. It also includes working closely with relevant government entities at the national, and local levels. The FSL field officer will oversee the planning and implementation of the Adolescent and Youth focused project in Beirut under the technical guidance and direct supervision of the FSL Project Manager. The FSL field officer will ensure that the implementation plan is set and that activities are implemented in line with the plan and are of a high technical quality, also to ensure that monitoring is conducted on time, that reporting is high-quality, timely, and reflects actual figures from the field, and that the program implementation is continually assessed, critical path identified, and Contingency solutions quickly put in place for any changes in context.
General Responsibilities:
- Support - Business Administration (training required).
- Daily follow-up of the workflow in 6 dairy factories.
- Being present at project sites to monitor the implementation of activities, collect feedback from beneficiaries and submit a detailed weekly report on activities and results to the project manager.
- Responsible for following up with suppliers on timely delivery of project materials.
- Monitor training provided to beneficiaries and submit progress reports to the project manager.
- Field visits to 6 dairy factories, which are obligatory to monitor the progress of work by following the work plan submitted by the project Reporting and representation.
- The FSL field officer will be in charge of reporting the activities on a weekly basis on the different coordination tools developed by B&Z to the project manager.
Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, economics or project management or any related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in humanitarian projects
- Experience in emergency humanitarian context and complex and volatile contexts (preferable);
- Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills;
- Fluency in English and Arabic – both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Computer proficiency in word processing, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
