IT Officer

Basmeh & Zeitooneh is a registered Lebanese organization, committed to serving refugees and vulnerable communities in Lebanon, through four community centers across the country. The organization runs educational, relief, livelihoods, and protection programs, and aims to serve as an inclusive and supportive focal point for the entire community.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides technical leadership on a variety of highly specialized project-related activities requiring expertise in specific technical areas for core information technology systems and services.
• Delivers appropriate personnel actions, educational and training programs to ensure high quality professional staff performance.
• Participates as a member of the IT team in planning and problem solving
• Manage technology services that meet operational requirements.
• Reports to the IT coordinator.
• Provides IT technical support onsite and remotely for HQ staff.
• Follows up on learning platforms with IT assistants.
• Follow up and manage android tracking software for educational tablets.
• Manages the educational tablets distribution and collection.
• Manage the data sim cards platform for education.
• Design and manage the data collection of the project.
• Compile, aggregate, clean, tag, label and organize data.
• Provide information to field teams directly for specific limited information requests (beneficiary details, location codes, assistance records etc.).

Skills and qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer science or any related field.
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Android software expert.
• Good knowledge in software maintenance ( format , applications , internet )
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strategic planning and advanced leadership skills.
• Excellent writing skills in both Arabic and English.
• Experience in the humanitarian field is a plus.
