Livelihoods Field Officer- Bekaa

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Livelihood Project Manager, the FSL Field Officer will directly work with refugees communities and direct beneficiaries of B&Z Lebanon through distributions and continuous monitoring activities for a new cash-based intervention of B&Z. S/He will work in close coordination with the field staff of other ongoing B&Z programs in the area.

DETAILED OBJECTIVES AND TASKS

Objective 1: To ensure timely and qualitative implementation of B&Z cash-based interventions

• Directly engage in the selection of project beneficiaries under the supervision of the Project Manager
• Directly engage in distribution of program items, organization of distributions and communication of distributions with beneficiaries
• Represent and explain the project and its objectives to program beneficiaries under the guidance of the Project Manager
• Perform monitoring visits to program beneficiaries using the tools developed/provided by B&Z
• Provide written and verbal reports to the PM within an agreed period of time

Objective 2 : Security

• Respect the security rules and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned

Objective 3 : Support to B&Z humanitarian goals

• Support ongoing programs emergency interventions, as per the employee's capacities
• Support any activity that helps achieving B&Z humanitarian goals, as per the employee's capacities
• Support B&Z assessment and monitoring activities in particular.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in social sciences, international relations, economic or any similar diploma
• Knowledge in food security, livelihoods, cash-based interventions
• Experience in humanitarian cash-based interventions is essential
• Familiarity with food security and livelihood interventions, and humanitarian assessment is preferred
• Good team worker, good listener, high communication skills
• Excellent Arabic mandatory, English an asset
• Good skills using MS Word, Excel
• Ability to work under pressure
