Livelihoods Technical Programme Manager
Reporting to: Chief Development Officer
Line Management Responsibilities: None
Technical Management: Operations staff in all locations
Location: Based in Beirut with frequent travel within the region.
Livelihoods Technical Manager will/is:
Responsible for formulation of livelihoods projects in close coordination and collaboration with the field management team.
Provide required support to the field management on technical and methodological support for the development of the needs assessment tools for livelihoods projects.
Work closely with the field management team
Responsible for developing detailed implementation plan in collaboration with the field management team in line with donor compliances, cross-cutting issues, policies, and strategies.
Ensure that timely technical support and advice is provided to the implementation team to make sure the project is implemented within the agreed timeframe and results are achieved as proposed within the approved budget.
Systematically plan and conduct technical training and mentoring to the implementation team to ensure that the relevant staff are well equipped with the skills and the knowledge that is required for the implementation of the activities.
Develop livelihoods framework, policies and standards to ensure consistency and quality programming.
Participate in external workshops, working groups and other meetings relevant to livelihoods programme in the region
Establish appropriate information-sharing relationships with staff in similar positions within other INGOs, government agencies and academic institutions.
Prepare periodic reports on all activities following specified formats and agreed schedules
Manage the efficiency and effectiveness of all activities to ensure maximum impact and sustainability.
Undertake periodic technical management field visits to the project location (in coordination with the field management team) and report on progress to the line manager with clear recommendations.
Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
Must have a degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, or any other closely related field. MBA considered an asset
At least 5 years experience in the field of humanitarian and development in the region with at least 2-3 years of livelihoods programme management.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
Proven track record of programme development
Excellent computer literacy
Excellent communication skills and a good team player.
Excellent analytical skills
