Job Purpose: The coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and quality of the curriculum within a subject area, supporting and guiding teachers, and ensuring student success through effective teaching practices and assessments.
Reports To: Education Project Coordinator
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development and Implementation
- Develop the annual curriculum plan.
- Tailoring existing programs to meet the specific needs of diverse learners.
- Develop standardized exam questions for each educational level in coordination with Teachers.
- Coordinating with the education specialist to create new teaching aids relevant to the plan.
- Ensure LS Teachers have all needed supplies and materials to execute the Lesson plans.
- Follow up on preparation of daily lessons with the teachers.
- Supervise and collect daily lesson plans for all the Subjects and provide a monthly report on the LS department.
- Facilitate the delivery of the education process.
- Knowledge and skills in creating a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment by implementing effective classroom management strategies.
- Proficiency in using various educational technologies and digital platforms to enhance teaching and learning, including virtual classrooms.
- Ability to design, implement, and modify curricula to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring alignment with educational standards and learning objectives.
2. Program Quality and Coordination
- Coordinating with educators to ensure program quality and consistency.
- Working with other teams like M&E, administration, and human resources to support educational goals.
- Ensure all sessions are delivered to a high standard and fit the needs of teachers and pupils and the organization's requirements.
- Ensure that all the staff recruited are familiar with B&Z’s Code of Conduct and protection standards.
- Work closely with the protection unit to ensure quality and minimum child protection standards are implemented and respected in all activities, including the child safeguarding policy, and ensure that all the staff can identify at-risk cases and refer them to the social workers in the learning center.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Assessing Program Effectiveness to evaluate the success of educational initiatives.
- Tracking Student Progress and achievement, identifying students who may need additional support.
- Tracking Attendance and Participation maintaining records of student attendance, participation, and outcomes in both physical and virtual learning.
- Ensure that the delivery of education is evaluated thoroughly following evaluation procedures as directed by the PC.
4. Teacher Support and Performance Management
- Evaluating teachers’ performance and follow up on executions of lesson plans.
- Provide adequate direction to ensure the smooth functioning of the teachers.
- Conduct periodic meetings with Teachers to discuss the educational process, and inform the Education Specialist and Education Program Coordinator with the meeting outcomes and action points.
- Be a proactive and innovative thinker who achieves results and creates positive change.
5. Student and Parent Engagement
- Conduct meetings with parents, caregivers, or community members to ensure that programs align with their needs and expectations.
- Follow up on the attendance of students and communicate with parents as needed.
- Follow up on the attendance of students and inform the Admin Officer of any delay or defect.
- Follow up on the attendance of students and teachers in online learning groups, and inform the Admin Officer of any delay or defect.
- Ensure that students and teachers come to class on time, and inform the PC of any delays.
6. Resource Management
- Managing Educational Resources: Overseeing the distribution and use of materials, technology, and equipment for educational purposes.
- Archiving all educational documents (lesson plans, worksheets, translated materials, etc.) with soft and hard copies, organizing them, and submitting them to the learning center project manager.
- Help translate the necessary tools for work.
7. Administrative Support
- Supports the Admin Officer with registering children in the education programs.
- Collecting student attendance sheets from teachers and sharing them with the Admin Officer.
- Be responsible for the safety of students on the stairs and during breaks.
- Receiving and following up on technical problems sent by students through online learning groups and referring them to the relevant department.
8. Health, Safety, and Discipline
- Ensure that students and teachers come to class on time, and inform the PC of any delays.
- Participate in maintaining discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive learning environment for all students and staff by school and county policies.
- Ensures adequate supervision to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions, to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Reports all student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to the PC immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible.
9. Technology Support
- Receiving and following up on technical problems sent by students through online learning groups and referring them to the relevant department.
- Tracking students’ attendance during remote learning.
10. Professional Conduct

Miscellaneous: Perform other tasks as requested by the Program Coordinator and Education Specialist, which may include administrative duties, special projects, or any other responsibilities deemed necessary to support the education program or organization’s goals.
Key Performance Indicators:
- The percentage of completion of the designated educational plan.
- Participate in producing the teacher’s performance chart and evaluation form.
- Produce the final table for students’ grades, status (passed/failed), and the percentage of passing students.
Education & Experience:
- BA in Education
- 5-10 years of Teaching Experience.
- 1-3 years’ experience with curriculum development and revision.

- Fluent in English and Arabic written and spoken.
